The original building of Otisville Church of Christ was burned down to its foundation. The new design used as much of that existing foundation as possible and then added more space for the growing congregation. Our design team met with the board in charge of decision making for the new building weekly during the initial phases over home-cooked meals. The design team worked closely with the contractor on the project, Bob McNelly. The auditorium is located in the same area as the previous worship space and the new fellowship hall looks out over the wooded land behind the church with large wood trimmed windows. The entrance incorporates a ramp around a planter box and area to showcase memorabilia, like the small concrete bench that sits there today. The basement has many large classrooms for Sunday school and other teachings the church provides.
