Joy Tabernacle Church, on Flint’s North side, is converting into a community Urban Renaissance Center. After their ceiling collapsed in 2012, they sought out help from the surrounding community. Sedgewick + Ferweda offered to take on the important role of providing architectural services pro-bono and overseeing the project in order to make sure the church hires qualified work, makes sure everything gets done properly and within the historic preservation guidelines. This is one of the many ways Sedgewick + Ferweda gives back to the community it has been a part of since 1958. We look forward to the complete restoration and new life of the Urban Renaissance Center.
