Park(ing) Day 2013

Park(ing) day is a national one day event designed to promote the value of cities’ parks. Flint has more green space than most cities in the country. To celebrate the wealth of parks, local people create mini-parks in downtown parking spaces.

Our 2013 Park(ing) Day streetscape intervention explores the concepts of what it means to have public green space. The design visually expresses the fun and functional enjoyment of the undulating verdant lawn on Flint’s Saginaw Street.
